Home Tour

With Kathy's help, we are finally done with our apartment! There were some projects that had been left by the way-side since we got here and we finally finished them- so, here is our home! You've already seen the baby room, so I didn't include that in the pictures.

Our master bathroom with all my stuff set out for when baby Smidt decides to arrive.
Guest bedroom...where all you lovely world travelers will stay when you come to visit :)

The tiny, tiny guest toilet. The guest shower is separate from the toilet...who knows why!?!

Our bedroom. We have a nice window that overlooks a small park and the opposite wall is all built-in closets. I made the pictures on the wall a year ago for our Morton house...it has take me that long to put them up! Kathy and I got a bit creative hanging them. The walls here are all concrete, so putting nails in it is a nightmare. By the end of the fiasco, we had used green twisty-ties, nails, staples, a level, a pencil, tape measurer, and our own excellent sense of "yea, that looks about right to me." (don't tell Ben)

Computer station in the kitchen.

Kitchen. Can you see my alligator from Bria Rocke on the wall? It is very cute :)

Spliced picture of the other side of the kitchen.

Dining side of the living room.

Living side of the living room. My pear painting by Susan Kizzee is, of course, a focal point. :)

Spliced picture of our living room- not bad on the splicing- eh?

38 weeks and counting...

Baby's room is finally ready! Don't know what I would've done without mom-in-law and expert sewer, Kathy, here with me! Since she arrived she's finished my curtains and got super creative and recovered some old pillows with scrap fabric- they look great :)

We hung the quilt that Ben's great grandma made for him on the wall by the crib.

38 weeks and 1 day- o, when will you be here baby Smidt?? I am wearing the same shirt that grandma Crocker and Kathy wore during their pregnancies. Three generations in one shirt...not bad!
